WOOFAH is the world’s largest schoolbell.
WOOFAH is the new school bell for Maris College in The Hague. 50 schoolbelltunes were devoloped, each with a different content.
Each week it is a surprise what kind of tune is coming out of WOOFAH. One of the tunes is the speech of Martin Luther King’s 1963 “I Have a Dream ‘.
The Maris College links to the tunes a lesson that focuses on the life and significance of Martin Luther King: this way the tunes are becoming more meaningful.
The students can also produce their own school bell tune: it gives them a very specific role and impact on the daily life of Maris College.
