POOL – loss of colour, Osaka

The artwork POOL, loss of colour is a carpet. It unites the Tsunami in Sendai, Japan (2011) and the disaster in Fukishima in one image, the image on the carpet.

The carpet transforms the two disasters to a human scale and is, therefore, not something happening somewhere far from here. It is a translation of the threat of an even greater tragedy that is emerging. Not only here, but worldwide.

POOL, loss of colour aims to create more awareness, emphasizes the importance of the current events in Fukushima.

Both in Japan, but especially in Western Europe, where the events in Fukushima have faded far away.
